When I read the Word of God, I take the literal interpretation and approach, unless it states this is a parable, or a metaphor. With a parable that Jesus used in His teachings, it had spiritual and physical meanings. Jesus was stating that Heaven was like the parables, Father God is like the parables, we are like the parables. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, you have the wisdom to discern right and wrong, truth from lies, and good versus evil. Jesus stated in the Gospels before He went away that He would send the comforter which we know as the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom when we ask for it, and He also gives us knowledge, and He gives us interpretation. Plus, He (Holy Spirit) also gives us the Words that are spoken by Jesus, and remembrance of what the Word/Scripture says. We do not rely on our own understanding of the Scriptures; we must always rely on the Holy Spirit to give us knowledge and wisdom. This is what I am doing now with this thesis/article of the Issachar Anointing that charismatics use to promote themselves. The so called “Issachar Anointing” is only given to certain individuals who possess certain abilities to discern the times and seasons we live in, and then they in turn tell it to the church. If the church are followers of Jesus Christ and not of man, then the church itself has the knowledge to discern the times and season that we are living in. We do not need any kind of anointing to tell us where or what we are living in. The bible is very clear of the days that we in modern times are living in. The bible depicts the last days, and we the church should know what days we are living in by reading the Word of God. There is only one anointing and His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus anoints all His peoples the church. Though Jesus Christ we have the knowledge and the authority to decipher the days we are living in. All these other anointings with different names regardless, are false doctrines. They do not belong in the Church or even talked about. The reason for these different ideologies is so that man can feel better about themselves, and to make them more than what they are. They want control of the church, and what better control than to use false doctrines to bring the church under their mind control.
It’s simple, they will tell you what you want to hear. They will say if you want this anointing or that anointing, or if you do not have this anointing then you cannot hear from God, or you cannot teach, or preach, or spread the gospel without having this type of anointing. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Jesus stated in the Gospels to go and make disciples of every nation. We do not need any kind of anointing to make disciples of people, tongues, and nations. All we need is Jesus Christ. I will give you scriptures to back up what I am saying, and it will be your advantage to look up the scriptures and to study the scriptures to see whether I am right or wrong. Do not buy into the mind games that these false preachers and false prophets are selling you. You have the Word of God, it is time to study the Word, and to stop reading what is not there.
John 11:35 says “Jesus Wept”. The shortest verse in the whole bible, nothing more, nothing less. Jesus Wept. When you read the verses before Jesus was comforting Martha and Mary because Lazarus died. Jesus was crying with them. There is no magic or spiritual significance on the verse. There is no revelation that supersedes what was happening. It was simple. Jesus cried with Mary and Martha. That’s it. I don’t need an anointing to know what was going on that day.
The Issachar Anointing is taken from 1 Chronicles 12:32 which says” From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.”
If you go back to verse 23 it states: “These are the numbers of armed warriors who joined David at Hebron. They were all eager to see David become king instead of Saul, just as the LORD had promised.” Then it goes on describing how many men from each tribe of Israel that was with David. They were at war during that time, and these tribes of men from the 12 tribes of Israel stood with David and fought along with David. There was no anointing on these men. They all knew the time and season they were living in. They all knew they were at war. Just because the bible highlights Issachar and his tribes do not mean they were filled with an anointing. The Word is just pointing out that these men knew where they were at, what they were doing, and the days they were living in. When you go to verse 38 it says: “All these men came in battle array to Hebron with the single purpose of making David the king over all Israel. In fact, everyone in Israel agreed that David should be their king.
If all the men knew the time and season, then there was no anointing. Even when you read the scripture, the scripture doesn’t tell us that Issachar had an anointing on him or his men. So why is the church calling this an Issachar Anointing? I believe it’s because they don’t want you reading the Word of God, they want to keep you ignorant of what the Word says. If they knew that you were reading the Word of God and discovered the truth that there is no Issachar Anointing, then it would be rotten eggs on their heads, and they will have to answer to God for their false teaching. Many of these false teachers, preachers, and prophets are hoping that you are ignorant of the Word, and do not know the scriptures, they rely on the fact that you have not done your homework as a good Berean. This is why we need to be Bereans of the Word of God. We need to study the Written Word of God, so we know how to combat these false ideologies, and that all they are, is false ideologies, not doctrine. The true doctrine of the church is written in the Gospels of Jesus Christ. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Nowhere else.
Hopefully I have been able to prove my point, but it just doesn’t stop there, there is more to be added, and because there is more, then there is more to be said.
I am giving you a list of 5 characteristics of those who believe in the Issachar Anointing will tell you. When they tell you these characteristics then you can have the Issachar Anointing too.
- Intercessory Prayer Warrior – Someone with an “Issachar Anointing” understands what is happening in the spirit realm.
- They see Corruption and its connection to the times. With that discernment and understanding, they know how to pray.
- They pray for family members, neighborhoods, communities, counties, states, and nations. They intercede and pray intercessory prayers, repenting on behalf of the people and petitioning in the Courts of Heaven.
- Those who carry the Issachar anointing are Watchmen. They see and are attuned to the dangers that are coming.
- Spiritually awake and alert—Issachar’s do not run and hide. They rise and shine. They are strong and alert in the Lord. They are not lulled to sleep by lies, turning their heads to what man, media, and manipulative entities have to say. Rather, those with the Issachar anointing are strong in the Lord because they focus on Him and His Word. The Lord is the anchor of their souls—their minds, wills, and emotions. They fortify their hearts and are aware of the spiritual atmosphere.
As good as these sound, these are not anointings of certain people in the church, this is something the church should be always doing, regardless of the circumstances that we are living in. This is nothing but pure spiritual manipulation at its core.
So, let’s look at number one. Intercessory prayer – we do not need to be anointed to do this. Let us look at Romans 8:26-28 NLT “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.
According to these scriptures we do not need any kind of anointing to pray. The Holy Spirit indeed prays for us and intercedes for us. Which is the groanings. If you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, then when you are praying in tongues, the Holy Spirit is still interceding for us, and God knows what the Spirit is saying. We do not need any anointing to do this. This is the Holy Spirit working within us as a follower of Jesus Christ.
Here is another example: Ephesians 6:11-20 Paul is telling us to put on the full armor of God. Not an Issachar Anointing. Paul does not state that we need an anointing to put on the armor, nor does he state that we need an anointing to pray for him while he is in prison. This is the job of the believer to pray at all times without ceasing. “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spriit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I ca boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So, pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.
Paul never said anything about any anointing of Issachar or any other name mentioned. He just told the church in Ephesus what to do in his letter. We as a church should be doing these things and standing in for ourselves and other believers around the world. This is not an anointing; this is the job of the believer. But how many Christians will honestly say that they actually do this. Pray for other believers around the world. It doesn’t take an anointing to do this, and if someone tells you different, then argue back, and say the Word doesn’t say that, and they are misconstrued by taking the Word out of context. It’s time for the church to stand up and say “ENOUGH!” Stop taking the Word out of context and just teach or preach the Word Correctly”. I am so tired of these charismatic false preachers, teachers, and prophets taking the Word out of context, instead of the Truth.
